CHECKLIST FOR A GREAT DAY OUT:

RESERVE TIME
There’s a lot to do on the Moomins’ Home Island. To make sure that you have enough time to see shows at Theatre Emma, stroll along the island nature paths and see everything there is to see at Moominworld, be sure to come early and even come back for a second day. Moominworld is open from 10am to 6pm in the summer.

READ THE BROCHURES
Be sure to check out the park map and the various events and schedules. That way you’ll be able to explore every corner of the island and get the most out of your day at Moominworld.

THE RIGHT GEAR
Bring along a swimsuit – it’s lovely to take a cool dip at the island’s sand beach during the day. Be sure to pack the right gear for the weather: Moomintroll might just ask you to join him for some puddle jumping should the rain co-operate...

THE BUSIEST TIME…
... at Moominworld is in July.

CHILD CARE
There are several well-appointed child care rooms at park restroom facilities. Parents can also warm up children’s food in microwave ovens at Moominworld’s various eateries.

INFO BOOTH
Info is located at the Moominworld Police Station near the Pizza & Pasta restaurant. Info has a lost&found service and there’s always a staff member with basic first aid training on hand.

FORMS OF PAYMENT
Moominworld and Väski Adventure Island eateries, Sniff’s Shop and Old Town’s Moomin Shop all accept the most common debit and credit cards. The smaller kiosks only accept cash. The nearest cash automat is located in the Naantali city centre.

HANDICAPPED VISITORS
It is also possible for visitors in wheelchairs to go on the nature paths that wind through the Moomins’ Home Island. However, because the island is very hilly, visitors should make sure that they will be able to do the paths on a case-by-case basis. If necessary, Moominworld staff members can help in finding easier routes. The area surrounding the Moomins’ House is paved to make getting about easier. Persons assisting handicapped visitors are naturally admitted free of charge.

HANDICAPPED-ACCESSIBLE TOILETS
There are spacious handicapped-accessible toilets located next to Theatre Emma and Mama’s Kitchen.
