Moominworld expresses its values: family-orientation, non-violence, friendship, environmental-consciousness, good manners, anti-discrimination and safety in every aspect of its operations.
At Moominworld safety means both physical and mental safety. Things that might even be a bit scary to children, such as the Groke or Stinky, are approached in a safe way in the Moomins' Home Valley, together with the family.
The Moomins’ Home Valley is located on an island, which has preserved as much of its natural state as possible, with an abundance of flora and fauna. These include, among others, bumblebees and lilies of the valley, staples of Finnish summer. We ask all visitors to let Kailo's natural riches thrive in all their diversity, so that everyone can enjoy Moominworld’s green beauty. We would ask all parents to keep their children from putting anything into their mouths, such as unknown berries.
On the island, fire safety is given extra attention. Water barrels are placed at regular intervals throughout the island. All park buildings are equipped with the necessary preliminary fire extinguishing equipment. Please observe our fire safety policies by only smoking in designated areas.
The Info booth has bandages and other first aid supplies for small cuts and bruises as well as a staff member with basic first aid training.
